今天到語言中心開杜大華語營的訓練會,
好巧不巧的在聊天後發現,
跟我搭配的義工是去年去維吉尼亞理工大學的交換生書吟.
(她只去一學期, 槍擊案是下學期發生的, 所以她沒遇上...)
再多聊一點後,
讓我震驚的消息出現了~~~
她的獎學金 (教育部的15萬)
是在她到美國二個多月後才領到.....Orz
難怪我的也是一點消息都沒有,
都說放暑假,
誰來開會審預算啊.
立委開會會期都只會打架不會審大條預算了,
何況是小條預算的學校...
這叫上樑不正下樑歪嗎?
每次去找國事處的小ㄎㄚ也沒用,
預算也不是他們審的,
他們也不過是嘍囉,
老大不開工什麼都不用談.
教育部六月中就公佈經費了,
台大每個學生的金額都出來了,
光是行政效率就比人家差那麼多,
怎麼去拚頂尖大學呀?

Tübingen just posted their 07/08 Winter Class Schedule online couple days ago, so I am trying to figure it out what classes I should take in order to match our classes in NCHU.
When I started to surf on the schedule, I found many classes that I was interested in are not listed. Such as Harry Potter, British Comedies, Shakespears...etc. Most of the classes are focus on the theoretical parts instead of pratical parts. In other words, I will have to take classes like Language and Use, English Linguistic, ...etc. which is my weakest part.
Even worse, their requirements for getting the Schein (a certificate of successfully participating the class) are strict... very strict! For example, most of the seminar classes require regular attendance,  active participation, oral presentation, 10-12 pages of term paper, 30mins oral exam and 3 hours of written final exam. Some of the seminars require also participating in an extra tutorial class, which is lead by PhD students to discuss the questions in the seminars. So..... go figure!

Went to the Deutsches Institut Taipei this morning for my student VISA. Got up early and took the 8 o'clock bus, then met my cousin for lunch at Taipei 101. 
We went to a Italian restaurant called Diamond Tony's Italian Restaurant (http://www.diamond-tony.com.tw/main.htm) which located on the 4th floor of 101. I love their fettuccine with white sauce, and the prices are reasonable!!! Both my cousin and I had the luch special plus $160 for the side order. So, for the whole set luch I had a seafood mix soup to start, and followed by a salad with itlian dressing and garlic breads. Then the main course was Sauerkraut and Pork with Fettuccine. At the end came the Tiramisu and ice milk tea. The whole set costed about NT$500, but the fettuccine was quite a huge portion. I could barely finish half after the soup and garlic breads. The soup and salad were just so-so, but my cousin said that her creamy bacon soup was good. Anyway, I think just the main course is a perfect portion for a lady, the side order is not necessary unless you are really hungry. 
Back to the VISA thing. After the luch I went to the DIT, and there were already some people waiting inline. Wen, the girl who is going to Tübingen with me, was there too, so we chatted a bit about our schedule. She said that she is going to graduate right after the exchange program, so she doesn't have to come back before September next year to catch up the next semester. In other words, she gets to travel in Europe as long as the VISA is vaild. Me, on the other hand, must return to NCHU before next school year started. So since I have to come back earlier, I've decided to depart earlier as well, to make up the time lost^_^Ok, back to the VISA thing AGAIN! The DIT personnel was very nice to everyone, and the VISA only costed NT$1310 (30Euro). Germany has raised the VISA fee to 60Euro at the beginning of this year, but the fee remain at 30Euro if the applicant is going to Germany for study or research. Unlike the US charges nearly NT$7000 for student VISA......... Well, I can only say that luckly I choose Tübingen instead of VT! 
DIT said the VISA processing time is about 8 weeks, so I just have to wait again. WAITING is what I've been doing the most in this year....

The department that I'm going to study in Tübingen is the Neuphilologische Fakultät, which is the School of Modern Languages.
This morning I went on Google and tried to find out where the department is located. This is what I found....
The building that I circled in red is the department building. It's right next to a huge open field!!!!! I can't help but imaging myself skip classes and go picnic there on the sunny days^_^ Isn't it great or what!
I don't know where my dormitory is yet, but I really cross my fingers and hope that it's located within walking distance. I don't mind spend 30 mins everyday walking to school, and I can take different routes to experience the different sceneries.

要一起去德國的學姐（我年紀大, 她年級高....... 到底誰算學姐???) 拿到25萬了.......... 原來不是每個人都有30萬的哦!
但重點是: 我的還是沒消沒息啊~~~~~~~ 國際事務處還說最近的會議記錄裡獎學金名單沒有我, 所以我"應該"是申請"明年"的! 
~~~~~ 該不會去不了了吧 ~~~~~ scheiße X_X

* 上星期收到杜大的e-mail........ 上面說我的交換學生申請己經收到並且通過, 入學通知會寄出來了!!!! 我在想應該是統一寄到國際事務處去了吧, 希望學校收到可以早點講啊!
* 另外申請杜大華語班小隊輔一事, 名單公告了, 但卻還要再面試!!!! 果然是學校的一貫作風, 說明會上也沒有說要面試, 以為文件送出去審查完就馬上有結果, 誰知道又冒出了什麼面試...... 
* 交換學生的獎學金到現在都還沒消沒息, 不論是教育部還是學校在審核獎學金的發放, 總該有一個deadline吧? 但似乎完全沒有人知道現在到底是什麼情形, 好像是審核委員高興就來開一下會, 不高興就放假去, 所以沒有人知道何時是deadline或何時要公布...!!!

=> 詢問助教近期課程委員會開會時間
愈早問愈好, 因為好像一學期只開一次.
=> 準備交換學生申請文件
=> 送交文件到系辦
在課程委員會開會之前將所有交換學生申請文件送交助教以便在開會時審核.
=> 送交文件到國際事務處 (行政大樓三樓)
到系上將交換學生申請文件及課程委員會開會結果記錄拿回來後一起送交國際事務處.  
申請九. 十月開學的要在3月1日前送件
申請二月開學的要在9月1日前送件
=> 交換學生面談及英文筆試
聽說是從我這一屆開始都需要面談及筆試, 以前是沒有的. 反正國際事務處會通知時間, 那我們就是一個字..... 等!
筆試的話就二十題還二十五題選擇題, 文法跟片語佔多數. 不難, 不用什麼準備.
面談更簡單! 大概五分鐘, 聽說有人被全程英語面談; 但我只有在自我介紹 (... 我大概只講了三句吧...) 時用英文, 其他都是中文. 
服裝也不用太講究, 當天大部份學生都是T-shirt+牛仔褲.
=> 交換學生結果公告
面談結束就是等審查結果公告囉! 通常一所學校不會讓同系的佔1個以上名額, 除非沒有他系的申請.  
=> 送交學校申請書
確定錄取上交換學生後, 國際事務處會通知什麼時候前要交學校申請書 (有的學校還要填宿舍申請書). 這些東西可以在對方學校網站下載, 填完後交給國際事務處就好.
=> 申請獎學金
完成交換學生申請後, 接下來又要準備一連串的文件來申請獎學金. 目前教育部有提供每名最多三十萬元的獎學金供學校送學生出國研習. 我記得要準備的文件其實跟之前的交換學生申請文件差不多, 所以都可以拿來利用. 
只不過教育部的獎學金規定推薦人一定要是系主任....!!! 但系主任不會幫人家寫, 所以你要自己寫好拿給主任, 還有電子原稿也要e-mail給主任做修改. 不過主任有說她要建議學校以後不要叫主任寫, 不然那麼多人她根本沒時間. 
除了教育部的之外, 要去德國的還有台德獎學金可以申請. 文件一樣可以拿之前的來修修改改就好. 一次申請一學期十萬元, 最多申請兩學期.
=> .................
接下來因為還沒發生, 所以不知道後面的程序! 大概就是等入學通知, 然後辦簽證之類了吧.

除了第1及第5項可以從國際事務處的網站下載外, 其餘的文件準備方式如下:

雖然說要英文版, 但課程委員會開會要看中文版, 所以中英文都要申請. 最好是多申請幾份, 因為後面獎學金申請的時候也都用得到.
3. 兩封教師推薦信
可以先到綜大七樓外文系辦公室買有外文系抬頭的信封和信紙, 然後再請老師寫推薦信. 通常學期末的時候老師都很忙, 所以最好早點請老師寫. 記得請老師寫完封好信封後在彌封處簽名 (班導教的小撇步).
4. 英文自傳及讀書計畫各乙份 (各A4兩頁, 無固定格式)
這一項就要靠自己寫啦! 因為每個人的背景和要上的課都不一樣, 很難講要寫些什麼. 自傳應該比較簡單寫, 因為就像找工作要寫的自傳一樣, 從小到大的事列出來. 讀書計畫的話應該就包含為什麼要選這間學校, 準備上些什麼課, 還有對未來有什麼幫助等等的. 自傳裡面有提到的東西, 讀書計畫裡面就不用再提了. 
聽說寫完後可以請老師幫忙看一下! 但我是沒有, 因為一切都在匆忙中渡過. 另外可以把中文的一起準備起來, 因為後面獎學金申請一樣可能用到.
6. 進修課程需檢附該系所課程委員會同意之會議記錄
這一項就比較麻煩了! 你要先到你想申請的學校網站去找他們的開課清單, 然後選出你想要上的課. 接著把這些課程例出來 (中英文名種, 學分數, 修習時數等), 如果有課程大綱更好, 因為課程委員會就可以依據課程內容來看你可以抵什麼學分. 
7. 其他有助於審查之資料, 如托福成績及語文能力證明等
雖然我去德國, 但我要修的是英文系的課, 所以我就沒有去考TestDaF. 而且杜賓根的申請資格是德文三級或TOEFL500分以上, 所以我就附了我的iBT成績. 但因為考得也不高, 為了增加機會, 所以我也把TOEIC和GEPT都附上了.....

昨天晚上和其他２位的交換學生見面了! 一位是食生系三年級的，從德國回來後就要畢業；另一位是電商所的，從德國回來後準備到澳洲完成雙聯學位...... 真是優秀的人才啊! 除此之外，他們也都有在美國打工的經驗哦！一位是YMCA暑假營隊的工作人員，一位是拿打工簽證到美國邊工作邊玩了２個月的玩家..... 
尤於大家稍晚都還有事，所以就稍微聊了準備狀況以及準備什麼時候去等等。後來發現我是準備最早去的，大約九月初。因為聽說宿舍一次就是要繳一個月的錢，不管你是幾號搬進去。所以我想那就早點去，早點適應一下週邊環境以及把入學和居留都早點辦好。
後來我們也聊到了想到到那裡去玩，不聊就算，一聊之後發玩好多地方想去........ 總是難得一趟到了歐洲，以後也許沒有機會了，所以就想把歐洲都玩遍! 再加上之前去的學長姐說杜大開學也晚，放的假也長，所以會有比較多的時間可以到處去。哎呀呀～～～這怎麼得了!!! 沒錢的我怎麼忍受得了這種誘惑啊....要命哦!
