Everything goes quite well with my new job,

lots of things to memorize,

and lost of things to learn,

but most of my co-workers seem pretty nice and we get alone well.

Right now,

I'm still a trainee,

so I make mistakes all the time....

But just as I'm getting used to the working enviroment,

I'm going to be transfer to another branch...

My supervisors are very nice,

basically they don't yell or get mad at any trainees,

but sometimes they get a bit impatience at the rush hour.

Can't blame them tho,

there aren't much chances for the trainees to make mistakes during rush hour,

or the customers will have to wait much longer.

There's only one problem that I'm still not quite get used to,

which is the "shop regulations depend on the supervisors" problem...

I mean we have like 3 or 4 (sometimes even more than 4) supervisors,

but they all have their own idea about some regulations...

which sometimes I found ........ stupid... (I'm sorry, but just to be honest..)

Example 1,

I've learned to clean the windows with alcohol-spray from 3 of the supervisors,

but when I was cleaning the windows this morning,

another supervisor said that I shouldn't use alcohol....

Example 2,

When I deliver the orders to the customers,

there're some "appologize" sentences that we need to tell the customers,

something like "sorry to keep you waiting, here is your order..".. etc.

but one of the supervisor insist that I must say every word in exact order...... X_X

Just like once that he accompanied me to the order delivery,

and when I said "excuse me, here is your order ...... "

(then I was going to say "sorry for keeping you waiting")

He abruptly stopped me and said "no! what've you forgot?",

because it happened so unexpectedly,

so I just went blank....

Then he took over the tray and showed me how to do it "exactly"....

then he asked me what've I done wrong?

I didn't answer....

He then said,

it's very important that you offer an apology first to the customer.

That's what I feel ..... stupid....

maybe to the rule,

maybe to myself that why I can't just memorize the sentences and just say them in exact order anyway.

Example 3:

When I deliver the orders to the customers,

I like to clean a space out from the table when it's in a mess,

I mean how are you going to put your tray down when the table is full of trash, right?

But my supervisor who accompanied me to the delivery asked me not to clean it.

He always asking me "why are you cleaning the table?"

He even told me to put the tray (with the food that I deliver) right on top of the dirty tray (on the customer's table)...

But if I were the customer,

I would think that "didn't you see there's a dirty tray underneath?"

Wouldn't you? if you were the customer?

But anyway,

it's fun to work again at the service industry,

people here are young and simple.

Unlike the evil business world,

most of the employees in the shop are part-time workers,

they don't have a dream of making huge money,

and they don't need to fight for a promotion,

they just want to make some money on their free time.

So,

it's great to be back!

(if you would like to leave a comment, please do not mention the company that I work for. It is because I think the company checks on internet sometimes to find the articles that related to the compnay. Thanks!)
