After my Nikon 4300 was trying hard to tell me that it needs to retired,
I got myself a new LX3 at the Electronic Fair.

I thought about buying a SLR,
but a poor working class like me,
just can't afford the fancy accessories.
Therefore, consider the price and size,
I end up with a high-end compact camera.
I was comparing in between LX3, P6000 and G10 at first,
but G10 already been replaced by G11.
I don't like the foldable LCD fuction from G11,
so Canon is out.
Then I saw some camera comparison articles on the internet,
surprisingly LX3 gains more credits than P6000.
But P6000 is from Nikon,
LX3 is from Panasonic....
I believe most of people would prefer Nikon because of it's credibility.
After days of thinking,
I couldn't ignore the outlook from the professional photographers,
also LX3 is the smaller than P6000,
so I decided to give LX3 a chance.
Afterall,
Leica is OEM by Panasonic,
and LX3 is at least using the Leica lens,
so it shouldn't be anywere near bad anyway.
I haven't got a chance to try my new camera outdoor,
but I've been taking close-up shots in my room.
So far,
it's quite satisfactory.
My cousin is taking the camera out today,
maybe I can post some of the results here later.
LX3 already equiped with 24mm wide angle performance,
but the optical zoom is only 2.5x.
In order to increase the optical zoom,
I also bought the lens adaptor,
wide angle lens,
tele-conversion lens,
close-up lens,
and UV filter because they're in discount as a promotional pack.
Since I'll be in Dubai at June,
I believe it's a great opportunity to test if it could survive under hot weather ^_^
Hope that it wouldn't burn under spontaneous combustion.....
